Bangor University Computer Science End Of Year Exhibit 2023

Recently I had the privilege of attending the end of year computer science expo at Bangor University.

I got a chance to walk around, meet the students and see what they have been working on this year. There was truly some really exciting stuff.

M-Sparc also arranged for me to have 10 minutes on stage in front of the Staff and faculty. I took the opportunity to share with the students my top tips for transitioning to the workplace from academia.

In the evening, I then got to hear Paul Kinlan (Google) talk about generative AI. It was incredibly refreshing to hear a balanced approach to the subject, among a sea of LinkedIn hype.

Truly an inspiring afternoon.
